This page summarises a number of differential transcriptomic experiments that have been carried out as part of the Phaeoexplorer project.

The experiments analysed several different parameters: life cycle generation, sex, vegetative versus fertile individuals, freshwater compared to seawater culture and monoicous versus dioicous species.

In almost all cases the experiments involved triplicate samples of each condition. For each species, all the RNA-seq data was mapped to the same reference genome and read counts generated using Salmon (version 1.3.0).
